Additional Information

I. Purpose

Used for interactively guided analysis of in-situ root images captured by hardware such as the Wanshen Root360 micro-root tube imager. It can automatically stitch 2D root images from different positions and perform multi-parameter, batch automatic analysis on cleaned root images.

II. Main Performance Indicators

1. Compatible with a 360-degree panoramic imaging (fisheye lens) micro-root tube imager that requires no focusing and offers optional optical resolutions of 300 dpi, 600 dpi, or 1200 dpi. It can automatically stitch to obtain high-resolution root images ≥23.5 cm × 80.0 cm (main unit dimensions: 65 × 6.5 cm; single imaging area: 23.5 cm × 18 cm; imaging time: approximately 1.5 minutes). Equipped with a built-in 24V lithium battery that supports continuous operation for about 20 hours. Operating environment: temperature 0~50°C, relative humidity 0-99% (no moisture condensation).

2. Compatible with a dual-light source color scanner with an optical resolution of 4800 × 9600 and A4 extended size. Root transmission scanning area: 30 cm × 20 cm, with a minimum pixel size of 0.0053 mm × 0.0026 mm.

3. Capable of analyzing and measuring:

(1)Total root length, average root diameter, total root area, total root volume, root tip count, branching count, overlap count, root diameter grade distribution parameters, and root tip segment length distribution.

(2)Customizable segment diameters with unequal spacing, automatically measuring the length, projected area, surface area, volume, and distribution parameters of each diameter segment.

(3)Capable of root color analysis to determine the number of surviving roots and output the diameter, length, projected area, surface area, and volume of roots of different colors.

(4)Capable of root topological analysis, automatically determining root connectivity and relationship angles. It can also individually analyze the length and branching number of the main root or any lateral root. It can separately display and mark the corresponding parameters of any diameter segment of the root system (the number of segments and diameter range can be arbitrarily adjusted with unequal spacing). It supports root branching correction operations such as pruning, merging, and connecting, with undo functionality to achieve 100% accurate results.

(5)Automatically measure the fractal dimension of roots using the box-counting method. It can analyze the volume proportion of rhizobia in the root system to objectively determine the contribution of rhizobia.

(6)For cleaned roots, it supports large-scale fully automatic root analysis. Analysis result images can be edited and corrected, and it can perform large-scale automated estimation of root biomass distribution.

(7)Supports interactively guided analysis of in-situ root images with magnetic adsorption, locking and editing root paths, and correcting root length, thickness, and position. Features a mouse-editing point with a follow-up magnifier and automatic root image stitching functionality.

(8)Features gravitropic angle analysis, path analysis, and main root extraction analysis.

(9)Automatically measures parameters such as thickness, length, arc length, and chord height of the pod stem, pod body, and pod beak of rapeseed, soybean, and other pods.

(10)Automatically measures the awn length of various grains. Measures leaf area, length, and thickness of various coniferous needles.

4. All analyzed images, distribution maps, and result data can be saved. Analysis results can be exported to Excel sheets, and analysis-marked images can be output.

5. The instrument supports a cloud platform, allowing analysis data to be saved to the cloud for access anytime, anywhere.

2. Soil drill for pre-buried transparent probe tubes, transparent pre-buried probe tubes (optional length 160 cm)

3. AI deep learning-based automatic recognition and extraction module for in-situ soil-cultivated roots. Automatically recognizes and extracts ≥80% of in-situ soil-cultivated roots in just about 2 minutes, significantly reducing the workload of interactively guided root analysis and correction.
